My old uniform used to be a blouse, skinny jeans, and heels with either a jacket or cardigan. Now that I'm a mom my everyday mom uniform has changed a bit as you might expect that it would. I've traded in my heels for comfortable flats or tennis shoes and my silk blouses for nursing tops or button downs that can handle the drool and work for nursing. This C'est La Vie stripe shirt is probably one of the cuter nursing tops I've found. I love the stripes and the gold snaps which of course easy unsnap for breastfeeding. Like I said ... Read more...
Cinq a Sept Flounced Ruffle Top
Justin and I recently went on a date night with our third wheel ;-) Not sure if I can really call it a date night then but it still felt like a nice break from our normal nights. Just being able to shower and get dressed up for dinner felt like a win. Honestly though, having Mason with us for dinner is really nice. Otherwise, when we're out, all we do is talk about him so it was fun to go out to eat and have him there with us so we could look at his adorable face and make him smile and be able to talk about other things too. Fit Style with DYI: Define Your Inspiration Workout Wear
As you all know I recently had a baby (four months ago) and this mama is determined to get her body back! I've been working towards gaining back my strength, tightening up, and slimming back down ever since my doctor gave me the green light. One thing I loved about my maternity workout pants was the high waist. It was much more comfortable than all my low rise workout leggings I was accustomed to wearing pre-pregnancy. While I can squeeze into them, they're stretchy of course, they just aren't comfortable to wear anymore and I hate ... Read more...
Camel Cut-Out Sweater
We're a few weeks into the New Year and I've been doing good on my new years resolution and haven't purchased any new clothing. As I'm slowly (and I really mean slowly) getting back to my pre-baby weight I'm starting to be able to wear some more of my pre-baby tops. This camel cut-out sweater I actually purchased around this time last year in preparation for NYFW. I wore it with this gorgeous Ted Baker skirt on my last day before heading back home. This sweater fits much differently than it did before but it still works. I absolutely ... Read more...
Peter-Pan Collar Shift Dress
I'm a fan of the Peter-Pan collar and when I spotted this Peter-Pan collar shift dress at Target back in November I knew it would be a great addition to my wardrobe. The shift dress is perfect for concealing my problem areas (post-pregnancy) and was perfect for hiding my food baby during the holidays. I love the key hole detail and the print is perfect for transitioning from fall to spring. The colors work perfectly with my over the knee boots. Funny story about the boots...I've been wanting these OTK boots from Stuart Weitzman ... Read more...
