Let me start off by saying that I love my electric breast pump and that this manual breast pump is not replacing it but rather acting as its sidekick. While an electric pump is quicker and easier than using a manual breast pump there are circumstances where the manual pump is much more convenient. Having a newborn can make it a challenge to get out of the house. They come with a lot of extra stuff, especially if you plan to be out of the house for more than an hour or so. Nursing Sweater
I've found it hard to find nursing clothing that I like but have a major need for nursing appropriate clothing. This sweater from Skunkfunk SF I've had for about a year and never did I think about it as being a good nursing sweater. I mean, who does think of these things prior to being pregnant/giving birth. Review: Dr. Brown’s Deluxe Bottle Sterilizer
In between breast-feeding and pumping you've got to sterilize all of the parts that you've used before being able to use them again. A bottle sterilizer can cut down on the time you spend cleaning those parts. If you're doing this by hand this process can take some time. New Parent Checklist
One thing that I've come to grips with is that now that we've got Mason we're pretty much never going to be on time ever again. Even when I think I'm giving myself plenty of time to get myself and Mason ready to go before we leave the house it never seems to be enough time. Running late is our new MO.
