This past weekend we celebrated two days of Thanksgiving festivities, the second day was also my birthday! To celebrate my husband and I took a short drive to Monterey for a weekend staycation. So for today's Travel Tuesday, instead of my usual Eat, Shop, Do post I figured I'd share my perfect Monterey in one day. On our way to Monterey we first stopped off at Gayle's bakery to grab a small bite to eat and get our coffee to go, which for me is a perfect start to the weekend. Eat, Shop, Do: Carlsbad
Before moving back to the Bay Area, my husband and I did a short stint in Carslbad, CA right after our wedding. Justin was transferred down to San Diego right after we got back from our Honeymoon. Town girls: I've lived in Portland for over 15 years and yet, still discover new places to eat, shop, and things to do ... Read more...

Eat, Shop, Do: Capitola

I knew I always wanted to move back, I just didn't know exactly when. But when my husband and I had the opportunity to buy a home, we didn't think twice about the location. There is no better place in my mind to raise a family than in Santa Cruz. I might be a little partial, sure, but Santa Cruz has so much to offer from beautiful beaches, ... Read more...
