Twillys are a fun way to customize and dress up your bags. So I wanted to share 8 ways to tie an Hermes Twilly on your bag handles to give you some inspiration. It's up to you if you want to tie a twilly on one or both handles of your bags. In my personal opinion, I think you either wrap a twilly around each handle or none at all. Having a twilly on your bag handles will protect the leather. Therefore, you will get inconsistent wear on your handles if they're not on both. But if you're just looking to get one twilly to decorate your bag with many of these ways to tie an Hermes twilly work great as any accessory to your bag. If you're not concerned about wear on your bag handles, I highly recommend giving these a try! And the beauty about these is you can always switch them up! They're super easy to do, and don't take much time, so on ... Read more...
Filtering Your Life Through Instagram
Before I begin, I'd like to apologize in advance for the length of this post. I had a hard time putting into words my feelings on this topic without going into some length. I hope you will read till the end as I feel the message is important. We all love social media and for me Instagram is my favorite. I love looking at pretty pictures and gathering inspiration from others, but is social media causing depression in todays youth? I read a story the other day that really touched me. Not because I am depressed or have ever battled ... Read more...
Red, White, and Sheer
Stripes are an easy go to. There is just something so classic about stripes. And when they're on a sheer blouse also something so feminine. I've had this blouse for a while and worn it a number of ways (here and here). Because the blouse is sheer there are so many ways to wear it; tucked into a high-waist skirt and a bralette underneath, wear over a maxi dress, layer a tank top underneath with a pair of skinny jeans, or like here layering a white crop top and pairing with different textures like this knit skirt and leather jacket. ... Maxing out with DSquared2
Lately I have been maxing out on my weekday work life/personal life balance (or lack there of) and come the weekend am ready to power down, relax, and work on the house; hence the inconsistency in blog posts recently. And while doing nothing now and again can be amazing for the body and soul, that's not really something I'm good at nor do I feel like I have time for that. So on a rare weekend when our plans shift and heading up to wine country for the weekend is no longer an option in between our list of must-do's Justin and I took a ... Read more...
Flirty in Fringe
There is just something about fringe that gets me. It's so flirty without even trying. A fringe skirt is just begging to spin and twist in. It gives me an excuse to dance around even if no one else is. I've wanted a fringe skirt for a long time and I'd been eyeing this leather one from BCBG but just couldn't pull the trigger on it. Then I saw it on a number of other fashion bloggers I know and follow, they of course looked great in it, and decided I couldn't also have the same skirt, though now I wanted it even more. So when I spotted ... Read more...
Shades of Green
When I feel like I'm running out of clothes in my closet, or that I've been wearing the same pieces over and over again I try and mix things up and wear combinations that I haven't tried yet. I've worn this skirt from the Altuzarra for Target collaboration a number of times but never as an outfit with all different shades of green. I love pattern mixing and this new scarf I received from a colleagues recent trip to India was the perfect addition. I love mixing animal print with floral patterns and this green snakeskin skirt worked ... Read more...
