Twillys are a fun way to customize and dress up your bags. So I wanted to share 8 ways to tie an Hermes Twilly on your bag handles to give you some inspiration. It's up to you if you want to tie a twilly on one or both handles of your bags. In my personal opinion, I think you either wrap a twilly around each handle or none at all. Having a twilly on your bag handles will protect the leather. Therefore, you will get inconsistent wear on your handles if they're not on both. But if you're just looking to get one twilly to decorate your bag with many of these ways to tie an Hermes twilly work great as any accessory to your bag. If you're not concerned about wear on your bag handles, I highly recommend giving these a try! And the beauty about these is you can always switch them up! They're super easy to do, and don't take much time, so on ... Read more...
Life Lately: Motherhood During a Pandemic
I felt like I wanted to share a little of my life lately because I am sure so many of you can relate. Motherhood during a pandemic is no joke. I've been feeling like I am struggling at home even though I am used to being home most of the time, as a stay at home mom. It's been 5 months of quarantine and sheltering in place and while the world has changed in so many ways, Justin's work hasn't changed at all. As a fire fighter his work schedule is business as usual. The same goes for his military obligations. He was away for three weeks ... Read more...
Intentionally Buying: How to Edit Your Closet and Know What You Actually Need
To get myself ready for the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale this year I decided that I was going to be very intentional about what I purchase. The past few years I've gone a little overboard when it comes to the biggest sale of the year. I ended up with so many great things, but honestly it was way more than I needed and my closet still was left with a few holes. So this year I'm taking a different approach to shopping in general and really focusing on intentionally buying the right things and not just buying because something is cute, ... Read more...
Multiple Ways to Wear: Casual Outfits on Repeat
Like I mentioned in an earlier post, I recently fell back in love with Abercrombie clothes. A little personal backstory on Abercrombie, I actually worked at A&F back in the day when they were popular, the first go round. I loved their clothes and was so happy when one of the employees approached me when I was at the mall one day asking if I wanted a summer job. Fun Fact: I was sent up to San Francisco for an audition at Abercrombie when they were looking for models for one of their upcoming photo/video shoots. The ones you'd see in ... Read more...
Designer Looks for Less: Roundup of Recent Designer Inspired Finds
The idea of keeping up with a weekly designer looks for less blog posts just doesn't seem possible right now. I would love to get back to this weekly series (originally dubbed Label for Less) and stick to it. But, until then, I have been creating this type of shoppable content for my Liketoknow.it account as there definitely seems to be an interest for it. It's so much easier to create graphics and short captions as opposed to writing full blog posts for each find or curating full outfits, high and low. I have recently begun to share ... Read more...
Summer Pastel Floral Print Dress
Today has started out as a gloomy day but I am hopeful that the fog will die off and it will be another beautiful day. I have been making any excuse to get dressed up to wear all of my summer dresses. This one in particular is a gorgeous summer pastel floral print. The other day I wore it to brunch with my mom up at Chaminade. It was nice to get out for lunch. We were the only ones there and so we got to enjoy the gorgeous views all to ourselves. It was like a mini vacation. I have to admit that shelter-in-place and all these months ... Read more...
