Twillys are a fun way to customize and dress up your bags. So I wanted to share 8 ways to tie an Hermes Twilly on your bag handles to give you some inspiration. It's up to you if you want to tie a twilly on one or both handles of your bags. In my personal opinion, I think you either wrap a twilly around each handle or none at all. Having a twilly on your bag handles will protect the leather. Therefore, you will get inconsistent wear on your handles if they're not on both. But if you're just looking to get one twilly to decorate your bag with many of these ways to tie an Hermes twilly work great as any accessory to your bag. If you're not concerned about wear on your bag handles, I highly recommend giving these a try! And the beauty about these is you can always switch them up! They're super easy to do, and don't take much time, so on ... Read more...
Vibrant Layers
One thing I have a hard time doing is dressing for winter. While it rarely gets super cold in Cali when it does, I'm never prepared. I end up layering clothes for winter looks that probably should best be kept in the closet for warmer days. I don't know why I can't seem to get myself to spend money on pieces that will keep me warm on those super crisp and cold days. Instead, I am always trying to get more life out of my silk blouses and crop tops. Layering my silky blouse with a cotton crop definitely doesn't keep me warm but layering ... Read more...
DIY: Reclaimed Wood Wall
One trend that I've seen all over the place, from homes to offices to restaurants is the reclaimed wood wall. I even did one in my office remodel a little over a year ago. I loved how it turned out so much that I really wanted to have one in our home. You can purchase reclaimed wood from a number of sites where you can select the look and source of the wood. We didn't have the budget to go that route and honestly I really wanted to do it ourselves so we opted for sourcing our own reclaimed wood. I went on craigslist and searched for ... Read more...
Dress Styling Trick for Petite Women
It can sometimes be tough to find the perfect fit for your petite frame and even more challenging to buy a dress and wear it without any alterations of course depending on the length of the dress. Work appropriate dresses seem to be the hardest for me since the hemline is typically longer and hits me right below or middle of my knee, not a good length for me at all. So when I found this dress the other day at Marshall's, the same day as my work party, I wanted to wear it over any of the dresses in my closet and didn't have time to get ... Read more...
Peach and Pearl
If you haven't read my latest posts than you wouldn't know it, but I recently went on a shopping spree at Marshall's. My wallet and husband without even knowing it thanked me for the fact that I was able to get so much bang for my buck, for both my wardrobe and our home. Sometimes you just need a refresh and with Spring around the corner, now is a better time than any. I don't always know what I am looking for but the things I need more like want tend to find me! This peach and pearl Lodis belt was one of those finds along with this ... Read more...
Hooded Sweater
For whatever reason I'm not one to wear sweatshirts out of the house. Other than this embellished JoA sweatshirt, you won't find one hanging in my closet or folded in a dresser drawer. I tend to wear sweaters, capes, or ponchos when dressing casually. Back in the day though, that was not the case at all. For my first job I worked at Abercrombie & Fitch and back then I wore sweatshirts all the time and with anything, jeans to mini skirts. {On a total side note that's how I snagged my husband ;) Our first encounter I was wearing a hot ...
