Twillys are a fun way to customize and dress up your bags. So I wanted to share 8 ways to tie an Hermes Twilly on your bag handles to give you some inspiration. It's up to you if you want to tie a twilly on one or both handles of your bags. In my personal opinion, I think you either wrap a twilly around each handle or none at all. Having a twilly on your bag handles will protect the leather. Therefore, you will get inconsistent wear on your handles if they're not on both. But if you're just looking to get one twilly to decorate your bag with many of these ways to tie an Hermes twilly work great as any accessory to your bag. If you're not concerned about wear on your bag handles, I highly recommend giving these a try! And the beauty about these is you can always switch them up! They're super easy to do, and don't take much time, so on ... Read more...
Kitten Heels that Prrr
These Yellowbox kitten heels have been a favorite ever since they arrived at my doorstep! I love the animal print and detailing up the front. They are easily styled from work to weekend and give me a much needed rest from my sky-highs. Animal print being a neutral can be paired with just about everything. I've worn these babies a bunch and each time they have complimented my look in different ways, either as a focal point of my outfit or a neutral piece that ties everything together. Similarly to these kitten heels my blanket coat ... Read more...
Fall Layering
The days are starting to get cooler which means one thing, time for some fall layering. When the weather changes I'm not always ready or willing to give up some of my summer staples. Layering for fall is the perfect way to get more wear out of your lighter-weight clothing. This shirtdress was a favorite throughout the summer months and I wanted to wear it the other day, so I threw on a sweater and a belt to add some shape, wore a pair of tights (the first time this season) and borrowed a pair of my husbands tall thick wool socks to ... Eat, Shop, Do: Menlo Park
Before purchasing our home in Santa Cruz the husband and I lived in Menlo Park for a year. It was conveniently located to both our offices so our commute was short and sweet. For about every other weekend we were heading down to Santa Cruz to spend time with friends and family but the other half of the time I was exploring the surrounding areas because even though I was born and raised in the Bay Area, Santa Cruz to be exact, I didn't spend much time on the Peninsula except for the occasional shopping trip to the Stanford Shopping ... What I Wore: 239th Marine Corps Ball
Dress: Nanette Lepore. Shoes: Schutz. Clutch: c/o Zimmermann. Earrings: c/o Jami. Necklace: Marrin Costello. Arm Party: Lucien Piccard | Kenneth Jay Lane | Nadri | Vita Fede. This past weekend the husband and I drove to Tahoe to celebrate the US Marine Corps 239th Birthday. We've attended the Ball every year since he joined the Marine Corps almost 7 years ago. The first few years I'd buy a dress to wear and maybe even a few new accessories. The last few years I've been renting my dress from Rent the Runway because let's face it, I ... Read more...
Fall Floral Ruffles
We've been having sporadic rainfall here on the Peninsula, just a few days in the past few weeks, but at least it's something. We need the rain so bad so when I see there's a possible chance of rain I get very excited. I was so happy to be able to pull out my favorite raincoat from Elie Tahari the other day to be prepared for the potential rainfall. The mauve color and ruffles down the front of this coat work perfectly with my floral printed Cynthia Rowley flounce dress. The multi-colors in this dress make it so I am able to pair it ...
