Twillys are a fun way to customize and dress up your bags. So I wanted to share 8 ways to tie an Hermes Twilly on your bag handles to give you some inspiration. It's up to you if you want to tie a twilly on one or both handles of your bags. In my personal opinion, I think you either wrap a twilly around each handle or none at all. Having a twilly on your bag handles will protect the leather. Therefore, you will get inconsistent wear on your handles if they're not on both. But if you're just looking to get one twilly to decorate your bag with many of these ways to tie an Hermes twilly work great as any accessory to your bag. If you're not concerned about wear on your bag handles, I highly recommend giving these a try! And the beauty about these is you can always switch them up! They're super easy to do, and don't take much time, so on ... Read more...
Stripes and Straps
This day last week I had the pleasure of witnessing one of my best friends and honorary big sister marry her perfect match and love of her life. In an oh so Carrie Bradshaw way she opted for an afternoon wedding ceremony at City Hall in San Francisco on their fourth floor rotunda and held the reception at the Fairmont Hotel. The setting couldn't have been more perfect. Jess wore head-to-toe Valentino, she was stunning! I opted to wear a turquoise and dark navy (almost black) striped dress by Kenneth Cole New York and my ... Read more...
Weekend Highlight: Local Getaway
Thanks to the Fourth of July holiday weekend, my husband and I decided to drive up the coast Saturday morning for a little weekend getaway. We planned a last minute trip up to Tomales Bay, Petaluma, and Sonoma. We went to Tomales Bay so that we could stop at Hog Island Oyster Company before going wine tasting. Justin loves oysters, so I thought it would be a great trip we both could enjoy. It was so nice to start our trip by driving over the Golden Gate bridge out of the fog and into the sunshine! It was such a lovely ... Read more...
Stars and Stripes
I took my patriotic look to the next level, from day to night, by adding some bold stars and stripes. This scarf was given to me by my husband a while ago and I thought, "when the heck am I going to wear this?" There's very few times such a bold scarf can be worn, and the 4th of July weekend is such a time. So when Friday afternoon turned to early evening I had to bundle up. I've added my stars and stripes scarf over my Rory Beca striped top I had on during the day, swapped my shorts for some skinny jeans and added my textured denim ... Read more...
Red, White, and Blue
I don't know about you but I'm ready to kick off the 4th of July festivities with family and friends! Thankfully I have tons of clothes that are red, white, and blue so it's easy to wear the combination to celebrate our beautiful country! After getting stuck in traffic we finally made it to my parents to kick off the holiday weekend with a late afternoon family barbecue. Since I can't wear shorts during the week I opted for a casual look pairing my boyfriend denim shorts with a sheer red and white striped sleeveless blouse from Rory ... Read more...
Palo Alto Event: Intermix
The Summer is events season. When the weather warms up and the nights stay lighter, longer it seems that more and more events are happening throughout the week and carry through the weekend. It's been a few weeks since the Intermix opening party but I still wanted to share some pictures from the talented Nikki Ritcher (all photos in this post are via Nikki). I have been a fan of Intermix for quite some time so when I found out that a location opened up in the Town and Country shopping center in Palo Alto I got really ... Read more...
