Twillys are a fun way to customize and dress up your bags. So I wanted to share 8 ways to tie an Hermes Twilly on your bag handles to give you some inspiration. It's up to you if you want to tie a twilly on one or both handles of your bags. In my personal opinion, I think you either wrap a twilly around each handle or none at all. Having a twilly on your bag handles will protect the leather. Therefore, you will get inconsistent wear on your handles if they're not on both. But if you're just looking to get one twilly to decorate your bag with many of these ways to tie an Hermes twilly work great as any accessory to your bag. If you're not concerned about wear on your bag handles, I highly recommend giving these a try! And the beauty about these is you can always switch them up! They're super easy to do, and don't take much time, so on ... Read more...
My Fall Must Have List
Every season I create a mental list of my must haves after scouring the internet, checking out what's been shown on the runways and reading fashion mags. Since starting this blog I've been able to organize my fashion findings both obtainable and out of reach (at least for the time being that is) and create my have, need, and want lists, hence the name of my blog. So here it is, my list for Fall. Leather: Vince, leather tee, $595, available here. (For those on a budget & who have a Nordy's card I would recommend using your ... Read more...
Better than a Pub Crawl
The other night I headed up to the city after work to attend a Fashion Crawl. What a great concept, right?! Not too many shops have more than one location in the same city let alone the same street, but this concept could easily be recreated if more than one boutique decided to co-host an event. Heidi Says boutique hosted the event at all three of their Fillmore Street locations. What a fun event and a great excuse to get some of my Fall shopping out of the way! What Fall must-haves are you hoping to rotate into your ... Read more...
Transitioning to Fall with Phillip Lim for Target
I, along with so many other fashion enthusiasts around the globe, anxiously anticipated the 3.1 Phillip Lim for Target launch. I had the date in my calendar for months prior to September 15th. With talk about a web crash similar to the Missoni launch I was determined to get all the key pieces I had been eyeing and then some. I think I ended up going overboard! I was able to snag most pieces online right when the collection went live for purchase. And because who doesn't enjoy the hunt, I also hit the local Target store to see what ... Read more...
Label For Less
I couldn't help but notice all of the lace-up ankle sandals on the runway. It got me thinking, why don't I have a pair yet? So I am now on the hunt for the perfect pair of lace-up ankle sandals. These Giuseppe Zanotti suede sandals are to die for! I love that they are asymmetrical, have heels for days and they wrap around multiple times. What do you think about the "for Less" options? I'm digging the Zara heels and being significantly less than the Giuseppe Zanotti heels you can afford to purchase a few more must have pairs! But the ... Read more...
NYFW: Final days at Lincoln Center
For Fashion Week, Lincoln Center has been graced with many well-known, top fashion designers. They have sent their collections down the runway and I along with many others have been taking notes. Here is my roundup of the last few days of shows. I was most excited about Sass & Bide, J. Mendel, Michael Kors, Badgley Mischka, & Jenny Packham. What set these designers apart from the rest for me was the fact that their runway looks were high fashion but were very wearable. I could see how their pieces would fit seamlessly into my ...
