Twillys are a fun way to customize and dress up your bags. So I wanted to share 8 ways to tie an Hermes Twilly on your bag handles to give you some inspiration. It's up to you if you want to tie a twilly on one or both handles of your bags. In my personal opinion, I think you either wrap a twilly around each handle or none at all. Having a twilly on your bag handles will protect the leather. Therefore, you will get inconsistent wear on your handles if they're not on both. But if you're just looking to get one twilly to decorate your bag with many of these ways to tie an Hermes twilly work great as any accessory to your bag. If you're not concerned about wear on your bag handles, I highly recommend giving these a try! And the beauty about these is you can always switch them up! They're super easy to do, and don't take much time, so on ... Read more...
Weekend Highlight: Celebrating Love
This weekend I was reunited with my husband after four long months of him being overseas. It was a wonderful weekend and I am sad to see him go. Just a few more months apart and then he will be home with me, hopefully for good! On Saturday, we celebrated the love of our friends at their gorgeous wedding at Rancho Soquel. Jess and Tyler, we couldn't be more happy for you two!! And last weekend was my husband's grandparents 70th wedding anniversary. Can you believe it? 70 years of marriage and still happy to have each other! ... Read more...
Label For Less
I know I have done a Label for less post on leather tee's before but now that I've purchased mine I thought it would be fitting to show which one I selected out of the three above. I have always loved Vince, for their simplicity and quality of materials but the price tag can be a little hard on the wallet. Vince delivers investment pieces that will last but not all staples have to cost that much. The Truth & Pride version (for less) has a perfect fit, made buttery leather and is currently on sale. If you haven't guessed ... Read more...
Ikea – Office edition
When you're faced with a very tight deadline (I'm talking just a few weeks) more often then not you won't be able to furnish a space exactly the way you would like to. That was definitely the case in our situation. With very little time to pull together the furniture for our office and retail space I turned to Ikea, and craigslist. Watermelon 3 ways for a great Summer treat
1. Watermelon Mint Sorbet Ingredients: 4 pounds of watermelon, seeded and scooped into big chunks (that’s the most that would fit in my blender) 1 tablespoon + 1 teaspoon raw (turbinado) sugar 3 limes, juiced 3 tablespoons white rum pinch sea salt 1 tablespoon + 1 teaspoon mint, chopped (I wish I had used more than pictured above!) Instructions: Toss watermelon chunks, sugar, lime juice and rum in a blender. Pulverize the watermelon (to pulverize sounds like more fun than to purée, right?). Add the mint and ... Read more...
Weekend Highlight: Work. Eat. Repeat
What a trip this first month of work has been. The startup life is a huge change from my lady of leisure days, now seeming like a distant past. It's crazy how when you throw yourself into what you do in such a short period of time it seems like you've been doing it forever. I'm still trying to figure out my new normal but I am confident I will get there soon. But for now it's been work, eat, repeat as we've been gearing up for our beta launch that happened this past weekend. We still have so much to do but it's all quickly ... Read more...
