Twillys are a fun way to customize and dress up your bags. So I wanted to share 8 ways to tie an Hermes Twilly on your bag handles to give you some inspiration. It's up to you if you want to tie a twilly on one or both handles of your bags. In my personal opinion, I think you either wrap a twilly around each handle or none at all. Having a twilly on your bag handles will protect the leather. Therefore, you will get inconsistent wear on your handles if they're not on both. But if you're just looking to get one twilly to decorate your bag with many of these ways to tie an Hermes twilly work great as any accessory to your bag. If you're not concerned about wear on your bag handles, I highly recommend giving these a try! And the beauty about these is you can always switch them up! They're super easy to do, and don't take much time, so on ... Read more...
A Look Inside: Nanette Lepore’s New York Home
I have been a fan of Nanette Lepore for so long I can't even remember when I first discovered her amazing designs or even the first piece I purchased! I must say I have always been curious about what fashion designers homes look like. As someone who has a background in interior design but has been a lover of fashion her whole life, I see how fashion and interiors relate and how the same trends can be incorporated in each. Thanks to Elle Decor we are able to take a peek inside Nanette Lepore's home, and am in love! I would ... Read more...
10 Summer Essentials
The weather lately sure feels like summer. So I thought it was only appropriate to compile a wish list of a few things I've been eyeing for summer. Now I don't have any trips on the books yet but I can't really complain since I did go to South America during their summer in February. I love oversized sunglasses, even on my small face. The bow detail on the Valentino sunglasses is a nice touch and one I'm ready to wear. Ever since I was introduced to Mikoh Swimwear I have been obsessed! Their swimsuits are super sexy. The ... Weekend Highlight: Unplugged.
This weekend I {gasp} unplugged! No phone, no internet, just quality time with the family; and no pic to prove it. I think we should all do this more often as we are so programmed nowadays to be plugged in at all times, especially as a blogger. Between Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, Vine (haven't gotten into it yet), etc. there is barely enough time in the day to be present on all platforms and do everything else you need to do in a day, like live. I am constantly getting sucked in, only hours later realizing I have yet to ... Read more...
Spring Fashion for Teens
As mentioned in my previous post here I've decided to feature my fashionable teen cousin on the blog today, meet Gabriella! When she came over to my house the other day I immediately was drawn to her bird print shorts. They are perfect for a hot spring day and right on trend. She paired the high-waisted shorts with a white crop top, mint and gold accessories and rhinestone sandals. For when it cooled down in the evening she had her mint denim jacket. I also really liked her handbag which was white leather fringe with neon coral ... Read more...
Label for Less
One trend that started in 2012 but has transitioned into 2013 is the laser-cut. We see it in clothes, shoes, handbags, and jewelry. I decided to show for this installment of Label for Less, the leather laser-cut tote. I spotted the Akris version (Label) browsing Bergdorf Goodman's. It's gorgeous, architectural in its shape and design, and very versatile. You can have the sides folded in (as shown above) or you can unhook the belt and have it open up. I'm also loving Rebecca Minkoff's version with the floral motif. BCBGMAXAZARIA's ... Read more...
