This season was the first time during NYFW that I have been a part of the affiliate network, RewardStyle, and so I was able to attend their rooftop party. I knew I wanted a very unique outfit for the party and so when hunting online for what I was going to wear I selected two pieces that were contrasting. This pom pom top caught my eye, it was also on sale, and I knew I could wear it a lot. To dress it up I picked this asymmetrical silk skirt in almost the exact same shade of navy. I know I won’t really be able to wear this skirt often but couldn’t resist the hemline. I also knew that it would look great walking and of course dancing the night away during the rooftop party.
This outfit needed just a little more pop and so I ended up DIY’ing a pair of pom pom heels (I’ll be posting the tutorial soon). I think they turned out great and were exactly what this outfit needed. You know when you have a vision of the way an outfit will turn out before you even get to try anything on, well this was that outfit and it came together exactly how I had envision it would.
